What a day, what a day!

I am beat. I have had kind of a stressful night and I am ready to get in the bath and soak. Today was good though. hunter and I hung out and I got his little pool out. He loves water. he wouldn't get out. He is such a goofball. he is always doing cute stuff and goofy stuff. He is a constant source of humor! Today we found out who Caroline's new teacher is for kindergarten. I can't believe in a week she starts school full time. I am going to miss her! But her teacher is awesome! I requested him to the principal. The principal was mine when i was a kid and she is friends with my mom. My mother in law used to teach at Northfield so she knew Caroline's teacher and they are buddies so I am just feeling more reassured everyday! I am so glad we are at Siegel bc we have so many friends there and my mother in law knows like every teacher there so that makes it better! I am excited to be on the PTO and be her room mother!! She has her first slumber party tomorrow. I can't believe how grown up she is. 

My hubby came home tonight with a new lcd tv. He said it was for the back porch so I can watch football out there. How sweet. lol I was worried it would get stolen but its bolted to the house. We have a really busy weekend. Tomorrow I have the Duck Derby with Junior League. So if anyone wants to come we will be there working! Groceries!

Are getting so expensive soon it will be a luxury to eat. lol I read that the average family of 4 spends 800 a month. I spend about 125 a week at the store. I go to Walmart and Kroger. I buy all my dry foods at walmart like breakfast bars etc. I buy all my veggies and meat at Kroger. That doesn't include paper towels and cleaning supplies. I used to buy lots of snack foods and cokes but I never buy chips anymore or cookies and stuff like that. If we have cookies I make them homemade and if I get chips they are baked. I get goldfish and pretzels but when my kids eat lunch they usually just eat a sandwich and fruit or yogurt. I really just buy dinner for 6 nights and then things like breakfast bars and fruit snacks. We eat pretty healthy for the most part. I just can't believe how much these things cost now! I have some people in a group I am in and they spend 50 or so a week at the store and I have no idea how they can eat off that! Thankfully there are all these online coupon websites and grocery store deals. I am not as savvy as some of my friends! ;)

Anyway. I am keeping my friends baby today. He is only a few weeks old! He is so cute and I am so excited to get to keep him! I will take some pics and post some later! He is a cutey!!!

Tuesday 12

A little late but I didn't get to finish writing it.

1. I am making the best chocolate cake I think I ever had. And the crazy thing is, it has mayo in it. I got it out of Southern Living cookbook magazine I got. My mother in law is a really bad cook and she always puts mayo in her cakes. granted hers aren't ever homemade and are just box cakes plus mayo. YUCK!  I always tease my hubby about this. Well I will never admit that I just did but it was seriously the best. I made chocolate icing and it was the most amazing icing I have ever had. So amazing that I literally just ate a cup of solid icing. 

2. I am working on my sugar addiction. I wake up in the morning and drink my diet coke and some kind of fat free sugary candy and then I get sick. I do it everyday. I have to stop. Its bad. I get all shaky and want to pass out. Not a great way to start your day!

3. we are making a menu every week now so we can stick to our food budget. I love it. It makes my life so much easier! tonight we are having kabobs, grilled potatoes, and corn salad. Plus we are eating better minus the icing. Which I will just put out of site out of mind and pretend I didn't eat.

4. I can't believe Caroline is about to start kindergarten. It has gone by way to fast. I am so sad she will be gone. But its going to be great for her and I could already see changes in her shyness just from 3 weeks of summer camp. I am excited for her to make some new friends and learn all these new exciting things.

5. We put this really cute bookshelf in Hunters room. He loves it. I am already starting to plan his 2nd birthday. I like to plan in advance lol. He has been a huge snacker. He goes to the pantry everyday and says I wannasnack. And he does this about 10 times a day no joke!

6. I am obsessed with getting pregnant. I look at my chart everyday and there is no change lol. In a week or so I can take my 1st test. I know it might not happen this month and it could take a few months but the pressure is intense! lol Only bc I want it so bad and I don't want much more age gap between kids. Caroline is already 5 and a half and hunter is only a year and half. My hubby doesn't really get the whole ovulating thing and kinda thought every time this month I could get pg lol. Goofball! But I know it will happen soon so I am trying not to get antsy!

7. I really want to cut my hair. The hubby hates my hair short and said I am to young to cut my hair all short and get a "style". Its just so hot. And my head gets so sweaty!!

8. I want a new oven. Mine is a couple years old but i want a convection oven. I would love 2 so I can use both at once but no room for 2 lol. I just use mine so much its all worn out looking. 

9. I have been wondering all day when people tell you something over and over are they trying to convince you or themselves????

10. I hate to even go there but I know most of you know C dad is my x. I have to vent. Well just a little! The guy is such a disgusting looser! I have said it before but he has bounced so many checks to me and hasn't paid any of her health insurance or health bills. He has run out of gas with C in the car more than once! He has no home, no car, and really nothing going for him at all. He is 30 and is a loser now and so probably will always be a loser. his mom and dad are deadbeats so I expected him to be one too. And yes I know I heard from most of you what do you see in him he isn't even that cute! Well you were all right! So anyway. 

11. On that note, I really love my hubby. He is the best and he is such a good father and husband. I am really lucky. He improves everyday a little more. Training is going very well with him. ;)

12. I am off to start dinner and to NOT eat chocolate cake. Really. I won't eat any!!

In case you didn't know how babies were made.... read this post!!

Today we were sitting in Hunters room and Caroline said she wants me to have a baby soon. She said how long will it be. I told her it would be after her 6th bday. Out of curiosity I said how do babies get in my belly? Not that I would tell her bc she is so innocent I don't even go there yet. She told me that Daddy Scotty puts an egg in my brain in the scarf (scar) I have. Oh yeah I am actually asleep when the hubby puts the egg in my brain. Then it drifts down a tube in my head to stomach in the ocean. Then it swims around and it crawls out the scarf(scar) on my stomach. Wow. I am not quite sure where she came up with that one! lol But apparently we are doing it all wrong!!  

We are back!

I wish we were still there!! We had a great time at Lake Tansi. Its so relaxing there. We are going to take the kids in a few weeks. Our cabin was right on the water. It was so nice to be alone and have some time for us! I need some more! lol

I can't unglue myself from the Michael Jackson stuff. Its so sad. I cried so hard when his little girl spoke. I hope they can settle something soon for those kids so they can have some peace. 

Caroline starts school in like 2 weeks. I am getting so nervous about it. I have been dreaming about it. I am so used to her being here. :( I feel bad for her bc Hunter has been such a punk pinching her and hitting. And she is so sweet. She never says anything. Its pitiful. I am sure its bad to say but I almost want to tell her to pinch his little butt back! lol They love each other so much but he can definitely be a big ole pest!

Anyway I am going to do some laundry and watch Debbie Rowe on 20/20! Hope everyone is having a great week!!

Happy 4th!!

I hope everyone had a great 4th! We had a pretty good one. During the day the hubby and I got a lot done around the house. I seriously cooked all day. I made a flag cake, homemade mac & cheese, grilled potato salad, a corn salad, chocolate chip cookies, deviled eggs, and something else I can't even think bc I swear I am still tried! We went over to my in laws with the whole family and some friends that came also. It was a nice time. Unfortunately it rained though. We got to do some fireworks then it poured down! But we needed that rain really bad so I won't complain to much! 

I have been taking quite a few pictures the last few weeks and have some more sessions coming up. We are taking our trip just the 2 of us this week. I am really excited about that. We don't get to much alone time so I am definitely going to take advantage of that! We are officially trying to get pregnant now. I am getting anxious about it already. I already called my obgyn lol. I would hate to be a Dr of mine! She told me bc I was healthy, we have an very active personal life ;) and bc I was thin ( GOD love her! ) it should only take about 3 months on average. So now I am really stressing myself bc I know its going to jinx me bc she said that! The hubby is laughing at me bc i am taking like 6 different vitamins a day. I hope its soon though. I am really excited about it! So we will see! Baby dust my way please!!!!!

Yesterday Steve Mcnair was killed in Nashville. the hubby is so sad bc he was one of his favorites ever! Pray for his wife and small children that they can somehow find peace in all this mess! 

I am posting a pic of my flag cake. Its messy in the pic but hey I was cooking for 7 hours solid!! And my sweet kiddos who were being very sweet and loving on each other.

Cats to good homes!!!!

Any takers? I really think I might kill my cats. Almost every day this week they have brought me a bird half alive. I have take n 2 in and tried to save them. 1 of those birds I fed every 2hrs and it died. Last night they brought us 2 baby birds that have barely any feathers. Its really pissing me off. They are these little tiny birds and they suffer. I can't figure out to get my cats to stop. I read its supposed to be a gift but I don't want it! Its just so awful. If anyone has any ideas on how to get them to stop I will welcome any advice!!!

Yesterday the hubby and I went to eat at Longhorn. It was nice to meet for lunch like grownups lol. He is off tomorrow thru Wednesday. Lord help me! lol We are taking a little trip next week. I am excited for the alone time since we don't have very much of it. Well I am out of here! I hope everyone  has a great day!
