Savy Shopper

I got some great deals today shopping! I hate to shop so I was proud! I am in the market for a new coat but I couldn't find one. I have worn northface coats since I was a kid and now everyone wears them so I want something different. Any ideas let me know!! Last night Scotty and I went out to eat to get Mexican. Shocker. He is so over Mexican but its my all time favorite. I can't help it!! And yummy margaritas! Who can resist! We went to a bday party for my sister in law at their house. It was a ton of fun. We didn't get home til 3! Hunter for the first time ever spent the night with my in laws. I didn't nurse from like 4 on til noon and I woke up at 7 in pain. I didn't realize ho much I obviously nurse lol. I am still a little sore! BUt we ahd a really good time. It was nice to have an adult night! I felt really old when we pulled up at Crystals at 230 in our minivan lol.
Hunter has been cracking me up this weekend. Every time that he toots or burps, he laughs. He thinks its the funniest thing ever. He has been throwing everything. We have a nice dent outside his door on the hardwood bc he is always throwing stuff! Earlier he was in Caroline's room and she went HUNNNNTTTEERRRRRRRRRRRR stop that! I said what is he doing and she said he is just getting on my nerves! LOL It was so funny! BUt they play so well together and are always hugging and kissing and laughing so I can't really complain. She is very sweet with him. She tries to be his little mommy.
I finished my Twilight series books. All 4 of them. They are the best books I have ever read. I read them in like 4 days lol. I couldn't put them down. I can't wait to get in a hot bath tonight and start my new book I got for Christmas, The Host. I am so sleepy! Christmas is exhausting and the work before it and after have drained me!! I am off to go soak in the tub and relax! Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

That was fast!

All this work for Christmas and its already over! We had a great Christmas. The kids are so spoiled. I have already invested about 5 hours cleaning up the mess from Christmas and I am still not dpne yet! Our garage is full of trash and boxes. I will post some pics later! Caroline is playing with all her stuff. Hunter is throwing it as he does everthing! Oh joy! lol I guess I had better not lack and clean! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I can't wait to do some shopping this weekend!!!

Christmas Eve Night!!!

I am so exicted for christmas tomorrow! I can't wait until Caroline gets home. I have literally been wrapping for 3 days now! My entire living room is full of presents stacked on top of each other! I was really bad this year! haha! I just love to see the kids open stuff and be excited. Its a gift in itself! We got a beef tenderlion and shrimp from Tagz to make. Scotty and I are going to get up early and do out christmas for each other then make breakfast. We are having brunch with my inlaws and brother in laws. After that Scotty's is going home to set everything up and the lights and the music while I get C. I am siked! The fam is coming to watch the kids open their presents. I just love the holidays and being with my family and hanging out. Its my favorite time of year! I am going to go back to wrapping! I hope everyone has a wonderful christmas!!! Merry Christmas!!!

Almost Christmas!!

I can't believe that Christmas is only 3 days away! I have so much to wrap. I still have stuff being shipped fedex and ups. I wish it would hurry up!! I tried to wrap last night but I got totally distracted in my book and it never happened that's my goal for tonight! Last year I sat up til 4 am setting things up and wrapping and making sure everything was perfect. I don't want to do that this year. Well I don't want to be wrapping that long and i had already wrapped a bunch of stuff. So I am going to get some of that done tonight! I am working on ordering the rest of my pictures from 08. There are so many its taken me all weekend to get them together. I know some other people have done it but I think I am going to do a 365 for next year. I got my 5D. Its amazing. I love it.
We had a pretty low key weekend. We went to a bday party on Saturday. Then I decided to go do some shopping with the kids. I took Caroline to get her nails done. She said I want to go to nails so happy lol. So we went. It was cute. We are having a nice quiet week with all the excitement coming up. Caroline is already planning her next holiday, party for New Years! lol I am like we have to get to christmas first! I hope everyone has a great week!!

Prayers

A girl that was in my moms group awhile back lost her daughter today to a heart condition. Its so sad bc she was so young and beautiful. I feel very sad for her family and sons during this time especially being christmas. It just puts everything in perspective when something like that happens. Anyway just say a prayer for for them and their little girl. And go and love your family tonight.

Niceee....

Its so nice outside! We got up and it was rainy and windy. We went to ihop to breakfast and it was ugly. When we walked out it was warm and windy! It's like spring! I love it! I opened all the windows from some fresh air and we have been playing outside! My mom and I are getting ready to take the kids to the movies. I need to finish up some last minute christmas shopping. I am almost done. I don't know why I have spent so much money, we bought the pottery barn kitchen stuff and a wii and little stuff like baby that C wanted and toys etc but all Caroline has been talking out is a baby that pees. lol
I went to the gym today and the kids were in the nursery and when I came in the said Hunter had been pulling hair and running wild lol. I was like sorry! It amazes me how different he and Caroline are. She is so quiet and calm and mild mannered. And he is SO loud, well I take that back, they are both SUPER loud, but he is loud and wild. he throws stuff all the time, and pinches and acts like a total boy. But they are sooo sweet together. They are all hugs and kisses. But if anyone else, kid wise touches Hunter he gets mad. But he loves all over her. He is a full time workout. I really don't need to go the gym! lol We have been trying to do our christmas cards for over a week now but Hunter wants no part and every time we sit him down he throws his body down and screams and yells. I have like 200 crying pictures lol. They are HILARIOUS! So last night my very best guy friend Don http://donaldyeagerphotography.typepad.com/ came and redid their pics. We have done some shoots together. He is awesome! So hopefully I will be able to mail some cards out soon! lol Well I am off to get ready to go to the movies. I hope everyone enjoys this beautiful day!

Touchy Subject

Well I hate to talk about either because they are both touchy subjects, one being carseats. I am not a total carseat nazi but I want my children to ride in a 5 point harness with a tether as long as possible. Something like 80% of carseats are installed wrong. I have always had Britax. I have a couple roundabouts, a couple marathons, a regent, and a frontier. I have a Peg pereggo infant seat which I def won't use again bc it gets hot. But anyway. I want my kids as safe as I think they can be. Studies show that seat belts aren't made for a 4 year olds body. I am not going to go into a huge rant about it bc I know its a touchy subject with people but I am really irritated bc I found out that my x and his gf who are equally unintelligent, drove her to Murfreesboro in a booster seat. I have bought him a carseat. He has a marathon. I am going to buy him another carseat when she outgrows that one. I have offered to buy one for his moms car so her riding in a booster seat wouldn't be an issue bc I know they don't have the money to go buy a carseat. I am not saying I expect them to buy a Britax just a carseat with a 5 point harness and a tether. I know they can't afford that. I said I would buy it! I am just upset. The least he can do is keep her safe in his time. I don' think that I am asking much. You just want what you think is best for child and when you can read research that tells you something is best for your kids you want that. Watch this little video clip. There's actually snow!

Very cool! It rarely snows here so when we get snow its very exciting! We are hanging out at the house. The roads are actually pretty bad or were last night. i went to the gym thinking they wouldn't be that bad and I was sliding everywhere. We are going to venture out in a bit bc I am going to get stir crazy as usual! lol Last night Scotty called and said let me talk to C and I could hear her giggling and saying ok! Then she sprinted down the hall to get warm clothes on. i didn't realize that the snow had actually been sticking! So they went out and built a mini snowman and threw snowballs around. It was very sweet.

My friend and I were talking about another friends blog and how she had written about mommy guilt which is something we ALL feel! But the funny thing about mommy guilt that I was thinking about its usually OTHER moms that makes you feel that way. Now that I am getting older and officially about to be considered geriatric haha I don't really get that way over stuff like I used too. But I hear other moms put moms down over food choices bc they don't fee their kids organic breakfast bars, they let them watch tv or play video games, they let them drink tap water, they let them eat jif! Yes I heard that argument last year lol. But its seem like the moms are the major culprit of mommy guilt and I think its sad. You would think that we would bond together and be understanding. I mean of course there are all kinds of mommy guilt. I always feel major guilt when my daughter goes away every other weekend bc I know she isn't taken as good of care of as she is here, I know she's around some pretty bad people who don't have her best interest at heart, I know her teeth don't get brushed, I know she eats bad and I am not complaining bc she isn't eating organic food which she definitely isn't, she is eating JUNK! I hate that she is missing out. So that's the kind of mommy guilt I feel. And that mommy guilt always makes me buy things for her bc she always says well they won't buy me this or do this for me so I end up buying some pretty stupid things. I feel guilt with my on bc sometimes I just nurse him and out him back to sleep and Caroline slept with me but it was a total different situation bc I was single. I hate mommy guilt though. Its definitely one of the most unfair feelings. And of all people to not support you its gonna be a fellow mom. That's the saddest part of it. But anyway!

Speaking of nursing if anyone has any tips on how to cut back on nursing at night without having my EXTREMELY spoiled son cry it out bc I can't do that, let me know! He gets up like every 3 or 4 hours. Its insane! He has cut back a ton during the day to maybe 2 or 3 times but night time is like every 3 or 4 hours. I don't mind the day so much but night time I am missing out on sleep! I am getting off here to go snuggle with the kids and enjoy this snowy day!

Did I really

Just get 8 hours of sleep? I usually sleep 4 or 5. I feel great. I am definitely going to force myself t go to bed early more often! We went to eat with my brother in law for his birthday last night. The whole gang was there. I never got to eat literally because Hunter was so tired and fussy. But Caroline had a blast. She thought that the bags of bread they had were party bags for my brother in law lol. We did a little shopping yesterday and I went to MAC makeup and took back my powder they gave me that was the wrong color. I love MAC. Its awesome! Its so awful out we are all just hanging out here today and watching movies and just kickin it! Hunter and Caroline have been super sweet lately. Just getting a lot closer. This morning he was up first and we went into her room and he was laying on the bed with her and kept hugging her and kissing her. She of course was laying there sleeping the whole time. If you know C she loves to sleep. lol But all day since they have been up they have been laying together and snuggling and hugging. And as I write this I hear a crash and Caroline say Hunter noooo uggggghhhh! lol So much for the sweetness. Ok I m off here to go lay around with the kids. 

Christmas Parade!

We went to the Christmas parade in Smyrna today. We had a lot of fun. We parked my van on the road and had the wagon. It was really cold though!! Our cookie's we made last night turned out to be a cooking MESS! I kinda let Caroline do her own thing and I just stood there and supervised bc she seemed to think she could do it best so she cut the cookies and everything all by herself. i assisted some but she wanted to do it alone. My kitchen was so trashed it took me an hour to clean up! We made them from my grandmothers recipe and then I made homeade buttercream icing which I got from a local bakery and it was AMAZING!! Last night we worked on Caroline's flash cards. She knew almost all of them. I am really proud her. We have been working really hard on her reading and spelling. Hunter on the other hand is still my wild man. He is just constantly walking around looking for something to get into. He is saying a few more words. He is so sweet and cuddly. Both my kids are that way. They can snuggle for forever!! The weekend was pretty uneventful. The kids and I just ran around yesterday and watched a movie last night. Tomorrow we are going to the bounce place. We are always on the go! I love it! Anyway! I am going to go curl up and finish my newest book! Stay warm!! 

Oh and can I just say the Titans win again! And the Giants lost! hehe!

Hanging out

We just got home from Chick Fila. Caroline has her best bud over. They are so loud I think my ears might explode. I am about to head to the gym in a few thankfully! lol We went and saw Scotty at work after Chick fila and the kids were running crazy wild in there. They are gonna make cookies tonight and watch a movie. C and Z are so good together and they play so well. They never argue and are so sweet to each other. I hope it always stays that way. From the baby moniter I hear Z telling C he loves her. So sweet. We did Caroline's part of the application process for Discovery School. She had to write her name, all the letters in the alphabet, numbers 1-10, and draw a picture of herself. She flew through that. I think we have a good chance at getting in. Regardless I plan on being at her school in kindergarden as much as possible. I am going to volunteer to be room mother and read to the kids weekly. Plus do the PTO. I just hate she will be gone next year it makes me sick to think about it. I want to homeschool just to keep her home longer lol. Then Hunter will start the same year at his mdo that Caroline goes too. What will I do alone for 2 days a week? I will actually enjoy some alone time bc I don't ever get any but I will miss them being here. I love the noise of them. It feel more like home when they are all around being loud. But alone time will be nice. I am always shuttling someone here and there and cooking and cleaning and taking care of someone and doing laundry and trying to edit pictures. It will be a nice time for me to work on my photography too. I am about to buy a 5D and keep my other for backup. Anyway. I am looking forward to the weekend. We have a ton of stuff planned and tonight Scotty and I are going to have some "romantic" time. hehe I am definitely glad HUnter is getting older. I though when he was about 15 months we would try for another baby but uh yeah no lol. Funny how a year and freedom can change that! We are going to wait a little longer. I am having to much fun being a grown up and being able to go again bc I like that we are always on the go. But I am definitely not ready anymore. So thats on hold. Well anyway I am going to go get ready adn drag myself to the gym! Have a great weekend! 

Christmas countdown

We got our tree up the day after thanksgiving. It looks great. We did all our outside decorations but we want to add to it and buy some more stuff! I have so much christmas shopping to do! I have a couple weddings coming up. I am really excited for that. The kids have all been kinda sick. Hunter has an awful cough he can't let go. He is so crazy wild. I seriously have to chase after him all day long. He is into everything. Caroline was so good and sweet and calm and easily content. I could sit her down and she would just stay put. But not Hunter. He is ready! lol Caroline is hopefully soon going to be having an interview with the Discovery school so fingers crossed. She has really advanced in her learning and she wants to learn which I think is really cool. She is the one to bring me the flash cards. I love it. Not much to report right now! I am off to bed so I can get my butt to the gym on time!! Night!
